Travel portal MakeMyTrip.com, travel search engine iXiGO.com and matrimony site BharatMatrimony.com have been included in the list of India's most innovative technology companies, 100 IT Innovators 2007, by Nasscom (National Association of Software and Services Companies).

Guruji.com plans to launch SEM service

Local search engine Guruji.com is planning to foray into the search engine marketing segment in the first quarter of 2008. The local SEM segment is reportedly worth about $40-50 million in India and is expected to reach around $100-120 million in the next three years.

Info Edge India, which owns jobs site Naukri.com, has said its two-day job fair organized on 22nd and 23rd December in New Delhi witnessed the participation of over 45,000 job seekers of whom over 750 received spot offers and about 4,000 candidates were short listed by companies for interviews during the next 2-3 weeks

36% of users access internet from cyber cafes: Report

Cyber cafes continue to be the most favoured internet access point accounting for nearly 36 per cent of the active internet users (16.8 million) in India, according to the I-Cube (Internet in India) 2007 report jointly published by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IMRB International. The report found that more people accessed internet from homes than from offices, the percentage being 30 per cent and 25 per cent for the year 2007.
