Local search engine Guruji.com is planning to foray into the search engine marketing segment in the first quarter of 2008. The local SEM segment is reportedly worth about $40-50 million in India and is expected to reach around $100-120 million in the next three years.

36% of users access internet from cyber cafes: Report

Cyber cafes continue to be the most favoured internet access point accounting for nearly 36 per cent of the active internet users (16.8 million) in India, according to the I-Cube (Internet in India) 2007 report jointly published by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IMRB International.
