Oracle Education Foundation has launched its online community Think.com, which facilitates project learning and students' use of technology, in Hindi. Hello,

No logo. No template. No jazz.

Well, isn't that the way most of the start-ups launch? Though this is a newsletter and not a start-up, it still carries the same spirit and enthusiasm that any new launch will have.

Getting to the point, what you are reading on your screen now is the first issue of Makkad G's 10101-1nformation 0n 1ndian 0nline 1ndustry and you will be receiving (to read or not to is up to you!) a new issue every 15 days.

The newsletter is divided in to sections and the first section deals with the latest buzz in the Indian online industry. Please note, for this issue the news items have been taken only from Alootechie.com and going forward more Indian news sites will be linked.

Also, keeping in mind India's 60th independence day, it is an apt day and date to send out the first issue of this newsletter. I wish you all a very joyful Independence Day!

I also understand that the newsletter is really crude and in its nascent stage. I will really appreciate any feedback on how it can be rolled out better and power-packed in the future.

Reliance Entertainment, a part of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has launched its blogging, media sharing and social networking site BigAdda.com. According to the company, BigAdda.com is expected to get about 10 million registered users in the first year of its launch. Reliance Entertainment plans to spend about Rs 5-6 crore in 2-3 months on the BigAdda's marketing activities encompassing all media including TV, outdoor, radio and internet.
