Yahoo Mail enables users to send text messages to mobile phones
Yahoo has added new features to its email service Yahoo Mail that allows users to send text messages from Yahoo Mail to mobile phone numbers in US, Canada, India and Philippines, and also to send instant messages from Yahoo Mail to users of Yahoo Messenger and Windows Live Messenger2. According to Yahoo, wireless carriers may charge mobile phone text message recipients fees for receiving and sending text messages. Read More

Indian full-service carriers sell 78% of their tickets online
According to International Air Transport Association, 78 per cent of the total tickets of Indian full-service carriers are sold online. Among the private carriers, Kingfisher has achieved 100 per cent e-ticketing, while Jet Airways sells 84 per cent of its tickets through internet. Read More

Reliance launches entertainment portal BigFlicks.com; plans to invest $100 million
Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Entertainment Ltd has launched a video-on-demand portal BigFlicks.com, which will allow users to stream movies for free or download at prices ranging between $2 and $16. Besides movies, BigFlicks will also provide music and television content. REL also plans to foray into the offline DVD/VCD rental business using the same brand name, BigFlicks.
