Pressmart says NO to acquisition move by Google

Hyderabad-based Pressmart Media , which owns patented technology for digitizing newspapers and making them searchable on internet while preserving the same-as-in-print feel, has turned down an acquisition bid by Google. The internet search giant is already working on an initiative to make old newspapers accessible and searchable online.

As part of its tenth birthday celebration, Google has launched Project 10^100 (pronounced Project 10 to the 100th), under which the company has invited users to send exciting ideas for ways to improve people`s lives. HTC to launch Google Android-powered phone in India by Dec 2008
